How AI Room Design collects, uses, and protects your personal information and uploaded images.

Welcome to AI Room Design ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered room design platform at airoomdesign.run.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you register or use our Service, we collect:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • OAuth Profile Data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture as permitted by your Google account settings.
  • Uploaded Images: Photos of your rooms that you submit to generate AI-redesigned results.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase credits or a subscription, billing details are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
  • Communications: Messages you send us via the contact form or email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time and date of visits, and referring URLs.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with features, including upload events, style selections, and generation results viewed.
  • Cookies & Local Storage: Session tokens, preference settings, and anonymous analytics identifiers. See Section 7 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Process your uploaded images through our AI pipeline and return redesigned results.
  • Manage Your Account: Create and maintain your account, process credits, and track your design history.
  • Process Payments: Handle credit purchases and subscription billing through Stripe.
  • Send Service Communications: Account confirmation, password reset, credit purchase receipts, and important service updates.
  • Improve Our Service: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and design quality.
  • AI Model Improvement: We may use anonymized, aggregated image data to improve our AI models. You may opt out of this at any time by contacting us at support@airoomdesign.run.
  • Security & Fraud Prevention: Detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, and fraudulent transactions.

3. Image Data and AI Processing

Because our core service involves image processing, we want to be transparent:

  • Your uploaded images are sent to our AI processing pipeline (powered by Replicate) solely to generate the redesigned room output you requested.
  • Generated images are stored on our secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and linked to your account for your design history.
  • Free plan images are automatically deleted after 1 hour from our servers. Paid plan images are retained for 30 days unless you delete them earlier.
  • We do not use your specific uploaded images to train AI models without your explicit consent.
  • We do not share your images with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate our Service, including:

    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • Replicate (AI image generation)
    • Cloudflare R2 (image storage)
    • Resend (transactional email)
    • Vercel (hosting and infrastructure)

    Each provider is contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the specified purpose.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AI Room Design, our users, or the public.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Generated images are retained for 30 days (paid plans) or 1 hour (free plan), then automatically deleted.
  • Transaction records are retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations.
  • Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@airoomdesign.run or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of AI Training: Opt out of using your data to improve AI models.
  • Marketing Opt-out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the link in any email.

7. Cookies and Tracking

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@airoomdesign.run and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest
  • Access controls limiting who can access user data
  • Regular security reviews and updates

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Our servers are primarily located in the United States. If you access our Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using our Service, you consent to such transfers.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice on our website at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
